Introducing Elephant Duct
1. Fire Resistant
Elephants hate fire — so our ducting is built to resist it.
When lives are on the line, don’t gamble with “good enough”. In the event of a fire outbreak, the last thing you should be worried about is whether the ducting inside your walls and ceilings is accelerating the spread of fire.
Elephant Duct is designed not to significantly contribute to fire, produce less smoke than other brands and to reduce the risk from fire by not emitting flaming droplets. Its Euroclass rating guarantees better fire safety than other brands (often Class E) and ensures compliance in most spaces, including high-risk environments.
The ducting meets BS EN 13501-1:2019 for smoke safety, achieving the highest category for low smoke production. It also meets the strictest droplet classification (d0), meaning it does not release flaming droplets, helping to slow fire spread and protect occupants during evacuation.
2. Efficient
A smooth trunk offers the best
airflow
HVAC systems promise low energy consumption and quiet performance but are often let down by their ductwork; leaks, collapses and tight bends disrupt airflow and lead to pressure loss.
Our semi-rigid ducting is built to retain a constant cross-section no matter the configuration, minimizing turbulence, and maintaining design flow rates. Elephant Duct can maintain velocities of up to 20m/s and pressures of up to 2000-10,000Pa (dependent on diameter)
3. Flexible
A trunk flexible enough to navigate
the tightest spaces
The reality is that site constraints seldom match drawings, making flexibility a necessity. Fitting rigid ductwork ahead of other conflicting services is not always possible.
Elephant Duct navigates these hurdles, allowing you to fast-track your installation at any point with a semi-rigid metal helix-supported duct that offers the best of both worlds. It’s easy to bend around tight corners and slide though tight spaces, making it easier and quicker to work with and adjust. On top of that, it requires fewer supports and doesn't sag thanks to its robust construction. It’s lightweight and durable all in one easy-to-install package.
4. Hygienic
We don’t let hygiene become an elephant-sized problem
Building managers, employers, and lawmakers are increasingly concerned about the invisible threats lurking in poorly maintained ventilation that lead to sick building syndrome and absenteeism.
We provide a long-lasting antimicrobial polyolefin resin film pre-installed inside every piece. This barrier inhibits the growth of microorganisms at the source, effectively reducing organic pollutants and ensuring the air remains safe to breathe. This film makes cleaning a breeze with any standard rotary brush system.
5. Insulated
An elephant doesn’t sweat — neither do our ducts
Lagging metal ductwork systems onsite post-installation is an expensive and time consuming process required to stop condensation forming on their surfaces. Without this, energy is constantly wasted and temperatures are difficult to control.
All our ducts come pre-equipped with an insulative layer (4mm, 8mm, 25mm) that keeps your thermal energy right where it’s meant to be, improving efficiency and reducing condensation build-up, delivering a controlled, dry, and reliable system. The closed-cell polyethylene foam insulation reduces condensation and sweating, protecting against microbial growth and long-term structural damage, while meeting Part F requirements in higher-insulated variants.
6. Robust
An elephant never forgets... its shape.
The HVAC industry has grown too used to cheap, flexible ducting that sags and gives up on you at the first hurdle. Aluminium ducting, on the other hand, can be time consuming to install, and cleaning can be even trickier. Our strong semi-rigid design ensures the ductwork stays right where you put it — no sagging or pressure drops.
With a strong semi-rigid design, our ducts require fewer supports and can stretch longer distances without a connector. With our ducting, not only does cleaning become quicker and easier, but the chance of failure reduces too. Installation time is cut into just a fraction of what other brands require, reducing the need for labour on-site. Our puncture-resistant design allows the duct to flex smoothly through straight runs and tight bends without risk of leakage or tears.
7. Variety
An entire herd to choose from
Why deal with multiple small elephants when a single big elephant can do the job? Elephant Duct comes in an incredibly diverse range of sizes (from 50mm to 315mm diameters) across three different levels of insulation. This means that no matter the situation, Elephant Duct can provide suitable and effective ducting.
Whether it's needed for a VRF, MVHR, or FCU connection, our range of sizes gives installers and designers the ability to connect systems using larger ducts which are often absent in other semi-rigid brands. This means less hassle, less time forming connections, and fewer additional parts required.
8. Warranty
These elephants are long-lived
We're confident in our product, that's why we offer a 10 year warranty for every length of duct we sell.
Elephant Duct is so robust, we trust that it will hold up for at least a decade. Thanks to its construction, our ducts resist wear and tear and hold their shape effortlessly even through complex routes and long, straight runs. The antimicrobial film also insures that bacteria build-up remains minimal, whilst the insulation provides protection against moisture and heat exchange, so Elephant Duct can withstand tougher environments.
